Sometimes we just want to spoil ourselves with makeup and beauty products. We all deserve it once in a while don’t we? Im my case I often can’t fight the urge no matter how hard I try. However when you do spend a little more you want to ensure you are getting a high quality product for the money you are spending. Here are some tips when you are in the mood to shop, but not sure what to splurge on. These items are Haleigh proof and I give my stamp of approval on each one. You will not be disappointed.
1. Urban Decay Naked Eye Shadow Palettes
The Urban Decay eye shadows are some of the absolute best eye shadows I have ever used (SO Many Colors shown below) Colors are exactly how they appear in the pan on your eyes. They have so much pigmentation, soft and easy to blend into many beautiful, versatile looks. You get 12 shadows in a combination of matte and shimmer finish in each palette. You also get a dual ended brush, great for creating every day looks. The Naked palettes comes in the original Naked, an all neutral palette in a magnetic packaging. Naked two is again all neutral, with slight variances to the original, and comes in a tin package that snaps shut. Naked three is a different palette in the fact that it is a rose color theme (still neutral.) And finally Naked Smokey is a mix of dark and light neutral shades to create perfect, sultry smokey eyes. My absolute favorites are the Naked three and the Naked smokey, I use these everyday.

2. Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette
The Too Faced chocolate bar has been widely talked about all over social media, including Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram, and for good reason. Not only are they amazing quality, but the eye shadows smell like…you guessed it CHOCOLATE! There are 3 options for the chocolate bar palettes ( the original chocolate bar, semi sweet chocolate bar, and the newest is the chocolate bon bons.) The original chocolate bar palette is made up of 14 shades with matte and shimmer finishes, in colors that are mostly neutral colors, with a few pops of colors including pink, burgundy, and purple. The palette also contains two larger white/cream shades that can be used as a face high liter. The semi sweet and chocolate bonbons are basically the same makeup but slight variations in the shade of neutral colors, and different pops of colors. The bon bons palette is also in a pink package with heart-shaped pans (very cute for a birthday gift (hint hint). These shadows make great everyday looks, plus who doesn’t wanna smell chocolate while they’re getting ready?

3. Too Faced Soul Mates bronzer/blush duos
Too Faced does it again with this combination of their amazing bronzers and blushes. The soul mates collections are made up of a large heart-shaped bronzer, and a smaller heart-shaped blush. The cutest part of these duos are the names, they’re named after popular tv couples including Ross and Rachel from Friends and my favorite Carrie and Big from Sex and the City. Ross and Rachel is a deeper bronzer than Carrie and Big, and contains a pink blush, where Carrie and Big contains a peach colored blush. They are a fantastic combination of product, with a ton of product in it for the price. This is a definite splurge if you’re a fan of either of the two shows, and again these make cute presents for any occasion!
How much you’ll need to splurge: $30.60 at too faced.com or if you luck out like me and find it on amazon for $16 (just search it in the search bar).
4. Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick
Okay I know I’m not the only one who used to fan girl over Kat in the Miami Ink days. When I saw she came out with her makeup line I knew I had to try it, and of course she knocked it out of the park. Her liquid lipstick has a matte finish in a wide array of colors. The collection varies from your everyday shades, to bright colors. The packaging is absolutely beautiful with a black and silver pattern resembling a vine. Kat named each color personally, and some have very interesting names. Whatever color you choose, the pigmentation and staying power are the best I’ve seen out of any lipstick. I wore my favorite shade, Bow and Arrow which is a nude brown shade, on my birthday and it lasted all night through eating and drinks. No matter what your skin tone of preference, Kat is going to have a shade to suit you.
How much you’ll need to splurge: $22 exclusively at Sephora and katvondbeauty.com. *Please note other website are trying to say they are selling Kat Von D products, Kat made a disclaimer on Instagram that they -are knock-off products and the only place to buy her makeup are the places listed above.
5. Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipsticks
Jeffree Star has always been known for his wild sense of style, with that he’s not afraid to share his style with the world. He has always worn very dramatic makeup, and hair colors regardless of the occasion, so it makes sense he make own his own makeup line. The velour liquid lipsticks dry to a matte finish, and stay on all day. Although the collection contains some wild colors (What you would see Jeffree Star wearing) there are more neutral based colors. Regardless of your choice of colors, each are equally AMAZING in quality. The best part of the lipstick is they are 100% vegan and cruelty free. The color range is so much fun including colors: True Tiffany’s Robin Egg Blue, called Breakfast at Tiffany’s, a bright pink called Doll Parts, an orange-red named after Anna Nicole Smith, and my favorite a brown mauve neutral called Celebrity skin. Each color has a fun name and is a high quality brand of makeup!
How much you’ll need to splurge: $18 at jeffreestarcosmetics.com, and beautylish.com. * Note some colors do sell out fast, but they are good with restocking as much as possible.
