DIY Hallway Reveal
I have been busting at the seems to finally show our finished hallway landing space. It has been raining for weeks in our small town Portage, PA. The project has been completed for a few weeks but lighting in this space was not cooperating. This has truly been one of the easiest and funnest DIY projects to date. This space needed a refresh and this was the perfect project to give it just that.
Our boxes arrived from Timberchic and I did a happy mail dance that I wish I could have shared with you. This was so simple and easy to install I really could have done it on my own without the husband, but luckily he took charge and I didn’t have to! This peel and stick wood in the Coastal White is simple stunning. A whitewash reminiscent of Nantucket or coastal Maine you can almost smell the salty air.
Installation was super easy. Just peel off the the adhesive strips on the back of the wood planks and place them where you want them on the wall. We measured the wall and figured out where would we wanted to start for everything to look even at the end of the project. We started at the bottom of the wall just because the landing has a huge open area that is hard to maneuver around. I would recommend starting from the top and moving downward if possible. But you can truly start in the middle of the wall and it will still look amazing. I am not the best when it comes to numbers so it was better he was there to help me figure it all out. We used 4″ wide wood planks. They come precut and the length can be easily cut down with a saw or exacto knife.
This process was super easy and quick. I have cut down my own shiplap and I can honestly say this was so much easier. I would recommend this product to anyone looking to add a little farmhouse touch to their home. I am also sure I will be doing another project with their products very soon.
