Vintage Market Days Haul

Vintage Market Days Haul

I am just girl who loves to buy all “the things.” Put me in an open air market in the Spring, Summer, Fall, or Winter and I am one happy shopper. The live music and food trucks at VMD are just a bonus, next to all the vintage decor.

I remember going to my very first Vintage Market Days in Kansas City a few years ago and I was hooked! Vintage Market days is a carefully curated market. The vendors spend days building their booths, and you will not leave disappointed. It is everything you have searched for (vintage, chippy, decor). Whether you are looking for it is under one roof, or maybe two depending on the market! Did you know there are over 69 different VMD Locations. You can click here and find a market near you!

Most locations have not one but two markets a year! I have purchases everything from the perfect vintage hutch to shoe-forms and gorgeous architectural salvage! I vow to one day bring home  a buffet table, linen armoire, and a bakers rack! There is so much to find and fall in love with at each VMD. They have vendors from all around the US and they bring it! But enough with my chatting about VMD let me show you some of my favorite finds!

Keep Your Home Under Control Throughout The Year

Our homes are our pride and joy, and because of that, we always want to ensure that it is looking it’s best as often as possible. The idea of making this happen though can be rather stressful because you immediately imagine having a deep clean from top to bottom that takes you at least four days to tackle without any sleep. What It Takes To Open A B&B In Your Farmstead

Farmhouse Setting

What It Takes To Open A B&B In Your Farmstead

Just picture the scene. You are cooking breakfast in the kitchen – warm and light pancakes made with fresh eggs and milk. Somewhere in the house, you can hear someone opening a window. A shower is running in the distance, and when you strain yourself, you can even make up the sound of a voice singing the latest Beyoncé’s hit. You didn’t get to have a lie-in, unfortunately: You’ve been awake for almost two hours even though it’s barely past 8 AM. You got up early to pick the last berries of the season in the garden. You placed them in a bowl on the wooden kitchen table. They look sweet and juicy like hundreds of candies from Mother Nature. Next to them, there’s another bowl of yogurt, which you’ve made the evening before; its thick and shiny surface reflects the sunlight. You’ve also remembered to put out a few jars of homemade jams – strawberry, peach and figs – and a little pot of honey from a local beekeeper. Now, you just need to wait for the bread to finish baking in the oven, and you’re ready to welcome your guests. Does it sound compelling?

Create Special Spaces At Home

One of the biggest things that we often want to get out of having a home, is safety and comfort. We want to return after a non-stop day at work and be greeted by the warmth of our home that welcomes us in and takes all of that built-up stress and pressure away from us, leaving us to drift off into a peaceful state where we can recharge and start again. So if your home isn’t giving you that whenever you step foot in the door, there is definitely something wrong. Continue reading
