The initial excitement of finding that new place is quickly changed when you start to think about the moving process. Make An Essentials Kit

The last thing you want to be doing is routing around all your boxes on the day of moving to look for your everyday essentials. All you need to do is make sure you have everything you need close by and in easy reach. Try packing an overnight bag as if you’re staying away with essentials such as a change of clothes, phones chargers, any electronics you need and essential toiletries such as deodorants and toothbrushes to get you through the day. Having a few snacks and bottled water to one side is also a good idea, especially if you’re not going to having your kitchen running straight away.


Look After Screws

The worst thing that could happen is that you lose the screws or some of the screws and your furniture then becomes useless. You could try making notes on each box such as which room they are for, whether it should be unpacked first or whether it contains something fragile. Once you’ve arrived at your new home, it can be very tempting to just start unpacking whichever box you see first however, you should have some sort of a plan. Unpacking room by room is going to much more productive than random boxes. Try making a list of what should be unpacked first. The kitchen is a good place to start, especially when it comes to making food and drink.
